Commonwealth Games Village

Project overview

In 2006, Melbourne had the privilege of hosting the Commonwealth Games and PRS was contracted to help establish the Commonwealth Games Village in Parkville, Victoria.

The site itself had 11 heritage buildings on its grounds that would be developed into common facilities for athletes and officials. The surrounding areas were well established with roads and residential houses. The initial stage required a Feature Survey to be conducted by PRS, identifying existing structures, roads, houses, trees and ground levels. Once completed, the project was passed to the architectural team involved who designed the new works. PRS was again involved in the construction phase, performing the set out works for the new buildings and houses.

PRS was a proud member of the team who made the Commonwealth Games possible in Melbourne in 2006. We continue to show great enthusiasm at being involved in jobs that help build Australia and its future.
